Sig. Jack Goodrum served with No.6 Troop of No.6 Commando from 30th July 1940. He was promoted to Lance-Corporal on 4th September 1940.
You have two listing for a Sig J Goodrum and a L/cpl Goodrum I believe this to be the same man as he was posted in as a Sig then promoted to L/Cpl 04/09/40. On 7th May 1941 he was one of the men attached from No.6 Commando to No.4 Commando, returning back to the unit on 7th June 1941.
He was posted to No.1 Commando from 25th April 1942 till 23rd May 1942 and rejoined No.6 Commando to complete training for the Operation Torch landings.
